Verteidigungsminister Iwanow: Tor-M1 wird planmäßig an Iran geliefet

Hallo!
In den Medien heißt es heute, Russlands Verteidigungsminister Iwanow habe bestätigt, dass man trotz der sich zuspitzenden Lage an der Lieferung der (29) Tor-M1 Luftabwehrkomplexe an den Iran festhalten werde.
Jedem dürfte klar sein, dass wenn es zum Krieg kommt, der Iran mit den Dingern auf US-Jets ballern wird. Wundert man sich ein Wenig, warum USA und Israel keine diplomatische Offensive gegen Russland starten ....

Im Netz findet sich kaum aussagekräftiges über das Leistungsvermögen des Systems. Man kann aber vermuten, dass der Iran dadurch zumindest eine realistische Chance bekommt, ein paar Bomber und/oder Raketen vom Himmel zu holen.

Folglich habe ich (ca. 20 Min.) im Netz gestöbert, was so die internationalen (englischsprachigen) Medien von der Sache halten. Erstaunlicherweise wagt bisher keiner ein böses Wort gegen Russland zu ergreifen. Selbst israelische Medien halten sich (zumindest noch) zurück. Mehr als "ernste Besorgnis" oder "scharfe Ablehnung" wird bisher nicht geäußert.
Sieht so aus, als wolle man Russland nicht im Vorfeld vergraulen. Könnte aber auch sein, dass sie wissen, ernster Ärger mit Russland könnte die ganze Sache völlig verkacken.

Sergei Ivanov also shrugged off U.S. complaints against a deal to sell Russian air defense missiles to Iran, saying that it was in line with international law.
Ivanov also said that Russia would carry out a deal to sell sophisticated Tor-M1 air defense missiles to Iran despite strong U.S. objections.
This contract is totally legitimate, he said. Russia hasn’t violated any of its international obligations, and Iran now isn’t subject to international sanctions.
Earlier this week, State Department spokesman Adam Ereli said the United States strongly opposed the missile sale and implied that the U.S. administration hopes to head off the deal. Ivanov said bluntly that Russia will see the deal through.
This contract will be carried out in line with the international law and Russia’s obligations, Ivanov said. We don’t care whether others like it or not.
Russia’s Defense Ministry said that Moscow will supply 29 Tor-M1 air defense missile systems to Iran under a contract worth about $700 million, the ITAR-Tass news agency reported. Other Russian media have reported that Russia also had agreed to modernize Iran’s Soviet-built aircraft and provide it with patrol boats and other military gear.

The United States has expressed concerns over the planned sale.
"We certainly do not feel that this is a sale that would serve the interests of us or the region," State Department deputy spokesman Adam Ereli said Monday at a news briefing in Washington. "I think it is important to remember and underscore that Iran is a state sponsor of terror, they have engaged in actions that we think are hostile and unhelpful, and that we view this proposed sale in that context," Ereli said.
