I have had this conversation on other boards and with people in my circle of friends on many occasions. It seems that so often, prophets past and present have tremendous trouble coming up with accurate dates for their predictions. In particular, I have noticed how often people have feelings of dread and a certainty that "Something Big" will occur within a week or two-and then.....nothing happens. This has happened to me on numerous occasions, causing me to doubt myself and wonder whether I am truly sensing an event, or if I am simply losing it!
Now I am watching this phenomenon on Syzygy boards and at the Prophecy forum. It seems that at any given time, in any given week, people are sensing a near-in-time catastrophe.
Now, sceptics look at this and find a perfect way to convince themselves that we are all crazy, that prophecy is bunk, that nothing is going to happen of any significance and the earrth will keep on turning with little change for a million years.
I don't agree with that POV. I have had the experience myself on MANY occasions since September, 1995 of the following cycle: I become aware of an uneasiness within, which grows into a tremendous sense of dread, I become hypervigilant and believe that "something" is just around the corner.
(On one occasion,9-11, an anticipated event DID occur and the sense of dread dimished somewhat. On another occasion, the Sumatra tsunami, the anticipated event occurred- with NO DIMINISHMENT of anxiety afterwards.)
When all of this first began for me ten years ago, the only people I knew who shared the sense of the Coming Events were a handfull of friends and my astrologer. Now- it seems that every day, a thousand or more souls are picking this up for the first time. And because they are new to the experience, they don't realize that others have been sensing this for far longer than they and that it is a PROCESS.
Just because you sense a Big Event in the next few weeks and it doesn't occur, doesn't mean your sensing is inaccurate. Instead, what I think is happening is very similar to, for example, an echo - in reverse. Imagine that one or a series of events are so cataclysmic in nature that it affects human society for hundreds or thousands of years into the future. I think that such an event would also travel BACKWARDS in time because, as quantum physicists and mystics know, linear time is not real. So any event that affects the future will also affect the past.
What I think we are all experiencing are the impact of those waves of energy from a "future" event rolling over us in the "present". The closer we get to that Event /s, the waves grow in intensity and more people around the globe feel it. But the waves are followed by troughs in which we recover somewhat and feel steadier. Then- another wave hits, and the dread and anxiety return.
I have noticed in myself in the last year that these waves are coming faster- and that there's no respite from the anxiety. Which I believe means that the cause of these waves is nearing.
Does this ring true for others-? ""
