Hi basecamp,

The Waldviertler - an attempt to translate this might come up with "the one from the wood quarter" - is a peasant from an area in north-western Austria called "Waldviertel", which - you might guess - translates to "Wood quarter", and that, at least for the time being, is quite a better place to stay than the "french quarter", especially if you're a nonswimmer.

Off topic: I'm still waiting for al-Quaeda to claim responsibility for hurricane Katrina.

Back to topic: The Waldviertler is still alive, albeit in his seventies. He seems to have been part of sort of a prophecy movement at the turn of the millennium, but he cut ties and wants to be left alone for reasons I'll explain below - as far as I know.

When he was about twenty - must have been about the middle of the last century - he had quite some visions about things to come, some of which proved to be very accurate, e.g. the crash of the "Reichsbrücke" - "Empire Bridge" - in Vienna, that actually broke down in the last century's early seventies.

One of the most remarkable visions he had is the story of the destruction of New York: It can be read in the books of e.g. Wolfgang Bekh, although some say that Bekh also tampered with the story.

However, after 9/11 voices came up reporting that the Waldviertler had said that 9/11 *was not* what he had seen with respect to New York, and it seems that - this information is coming from Evi of the Munich regulars' table - this is disinformation: There's a gang of katholic hard core crooks, associated, amongst others, to the Prophesy Forum, e.g. Hubert with the hypocritical gloriole, being an opus dei man of a bit higher rank, and there's also a guy, an Autrian - shame on my country for dickheads like this, but that's the way it is -, who wrote a book about prophesies using the pseudonym "Karl Leupold von Lichtenfels", which is also of the kind of most blimpish catholics - Evi created a wonderful description for them: The Catholiban.

However, as far as Evi told me, these comics decided to announce in public a piece of disinformation, namely that the Waldviertler alledgedly had said that what he had seen about the destruction of New York was not 9/11 - while, in fact, obviously and also according to himself, it was, and that's why the Waldviertler decided to cut all ties to the prophesy scene and wanted to be left alone.

But still it's something I've been told - so it's not really first hand information.

Regards,

NoPasaran
