Neues zum Thema Josyp Terelya

During the time of religious persecution in Russia, Josyp Terelya, a Catholic Soviet Ukrainian, was given one of two choices, renounce his religion or go to jail. Refusing to renounce his Catholic faith, Josyp was placed in a Soviet prison for practicing religion in Communist Russia. He was only 19 at the time of his imprisonment.
Although he was captured, he successfully escaped from Soviet prisons 9 times. The Soviet Union decided to rid themselves of him, so Josyp was locked in a freeze box with small open windows which allowed the cold Russian air to enter in and freeze him to death.
Josyp later recounts that with his eyes frozen shut and pain even in the fibers of his hair, he said his last prayers asking the Virgin Mary to help him. All of a sudden a light filled the room that warmed him. When his eyes open there in front of him was the Blessed Virgin.
Returning to remove his body, the Soviet soldiers noticed a bright light which disappeared shortly after they opened the box. The inside of the box was warm and Josyp was alive. Josyp was accused of practicing yoga, but Josyp said that the Virgin Mary saved him. This prompted the prison system to send him to a mental institution. While in the institution Josyp claims he forged a permanent connection with the supernatural and was a conduit for prophecy.
Josyp survived a total of 23 years of torture in prison before his release from prision. After his release, Communist Russia found Josyp once again engaged in anti Communist activities with the Catholic underground, and working with depressed persecuted Jews. This Ukrainian Catholic Church activist became internationally known. It was only through the intervention of President Reagan of the United States, President Mitterand of France, and Queen Beatrice of Holland, that he was allowed to come into the free world. He was expatriated by the Soviet authorities, his rights as a Soviet citizen taken away and exiled to Canada in October, 1987.
It wasn?t until he reached the West that the world learned of the magnitude of prophetic visions that Josyp claimed came from the Virgin Mary. In an interview with Josyp?s spiritual director, (Catholic Bishop, Roman Danylak) the Bishop stated that, Josyp has spoken before the joint sessions of the Senate, Congress, the Pentagon, and the White House.
Josyp has also visited with the Pope over 36 times. The Vatican has released 200 of Josyp?s prophecies. His prophecies are apocalyptic in nature. (Please note *** below in regard to the 200 prophecies.)
The prophecy I was wondering about here that may have come to pass is;
"A person will appear called Vladimir. He will call on Russia to destroy Israel."
On December 31, 1999, Russian President Boris Yeltsin stepped down from the presidency. Yeltsin has appointed Prime Minister Vladimir Putin as President.
The above information comes from the mini-series, Ancient Prophecies. If you would like to know more about Josyp, I suggest reading, "Witness" co-authored by well know religious author Michael Brown. However Mr. Brown clearly indicates in the book that he can not prove the events that took place in Russia, nor does the book make any mention of the 200 prophecies.
*** Since placing this page on the website, I had concern about the fact that Ancient Prophecies claims that 200 prophecies of Josyp have been released by the Vatican. The normal process of the church is not to announce an opinion on any modern day prophecy till such time that the said event has indeed taken place. An example of this is the release of the 3rd Secret of Fatima. However because the program claims that such prophecies have been released, even though I doubt it, I have left all information in regard to Ancient Prophecies intact. It is interesting however to note that in the Ancient Prophecies III they do make mention of one prophecy that they claim comes from Josyp, which is that of Vladimir. I know without question that Ancient Prophecies was released many years before Dec. 31, 1999, which is the date that Prime Minister Vladimir Putin became president of Russia. From this my personal opinion is that the church has not released any prophecies that may have been obtained from Josyp, and that the prophecy of Vladimir may have come from Jospy himself during an intervew with the makers of Ancient Prophecies III.
Myself and others who have looked at this info written on Medjugorje USA, have searched for these 200 prophecies but no one have been able to locate them, if they exist at all.
Update: Aug. 6, 2000. I have contacted author Michael Brown to ask his thoughts, below is his email reply.
Michael, I seriously doubt the Vatican has released any of Josyp's prophecies. While it's true that he has met with the Pope (and I think the Pope believes him), the official Church would do nothing of the type. I don't know where Ancient Prophecies got that, unless what they mean is that Josyp asked permission to circulate his predictions and such as informally granted. As for Putin: that's an interesting observation on your part.
Best of luck and God bless,
Michael BrownSo given all the information, visitors to this page are left do decide for themselves. I can tell you, "Witness" is a very intersting book, well worth reading. Though there appears to be an error somewhere in regard to the 200 prophecies, which is likely due to Ancient Prophecies, the fact remains that it was published knowledge that a man name Vladimir is mentioned in a prophecy which seems to come from Josyp. My personal thoughts are, that we should keep a close eye on Russia now that Putin has come to power.
God Bless you all
