siehe ZeitZeichen Nr.150, was die amerikanischen und britischen Schiffe betrifft und die Seeherrschaft vom Roten Meer bis zum Afrikanischen Horn betrifft.
Außerdem zu Truppenverstärkung etc. ein Artikel vom 6.Mai (!) 2002:

"The Iraqi population must be ... prepared on the psychological, military and national levels to oppose any enemy attack and support the burden of the war that risks being more ferocious than that of 1991," Uday said in reference to the Gulf War over Kuwait.">Die Zeitung behauptet, daß aufgrund von Angaben von Quellen des westlichen und arabischen Geheimdienstes amerikanische Kriegsschiffe nördlich vomm Irak bereitgestellt würden.
Das haben sie wahrscheinlich aus Turkey’s Political Turmoil Shadows US Iraq Offensive auf Debka's Titelseite :
"However, DEBKAfile ’s military sources point out that, while their strategic value next door to Iraq is high, the two bases are no longer unique. Since being booted out of its Saudi air base, the United States has set up substitute operational facilities in Jordan and Israel and other parts of the region, boosted by air carrier fleets cruising the eastern Mediterranean and southern Aegean opposite Turkish and Greek shores."
auch interessant eine Kurzmeldung aus Stratfor von gestern:
"Russian President Vladimir Putin recalled all of his government's 130-odd ambassadors June 12 (?!) for consultations over the recent changes in Russian foreign policy. In particular, Putin expressed his determination to steel the country on a firmly pro-Western and pro-free-market path on a wide swathe of issues, not just regarding the war on terrorism or Russian membership in the World Trade Organization. The last time the Kremlin recalled all its ambassadors was in 1986, when then-Soviet leader Mikhail Gorbachev explained the rationale and policy implications of glasnost and perestroika. 1620 GMT"
