SUN BEAR (same link as above)

As recently as 1979 we were offered another vision, this time from Sun Bear of the Bear Tribe Medicine Society. In the Native American earth awareness magazine, Many Smokes, Sun Bear wrote: "I saw people living together in groups sharing and helping each other, Indian and non-Indian alike. I saw the Earth Mother being healed as people began to show real love for the land. But first I saw whole cities become desolate because there was no way left for people to support themselves. I wondered at this when this nation seemed to be all-powerful. Then I saw the vision of the great drought years, a time when the Earth Mother would withhold all increase...

"I saw camps of people around natural water, such as rivers, creeks, and springs, working hard to produce their food, but thankful to be alive, for only here and there were small bands of people alive, and they were thankful to the Great Spirit that they were. When people came together they embraced with love, even those who were strangers before that moment, because they knew.

"There were only a few people surviving these changes. I've seen major destruction, and people fleeing great cities, and other people dying from pollution, and cities abandoned, and I wondered how, until these last few years when I see California and other places which no longer have the water, electricity, or natural gases to care for their cities.

"Then I understood what I saw before. We were told that our people would lay as if dead in the dust, and then we would rise up on the land again. We were told that the sons and daughters of the possessors of our land would come to us and accept our ways, and that we would live together as one people sharing the land and sowing love and understanding for each other."

Hi Deyvotelh

I spoke a lot about this with Sun Bear at one of his hippie filled "pow-wows" back in 1974 after I had a vision that there would be a "turning point" when the many disasters like big earthquakes, tsunamis, and monster storms would come rapidly with much death and destruction, pandemics and economic collapse. That "turning point" was this last summer (2005) I believe, and it will all go downhill from now on till it collapses.

I asked Sun Bear over 30 years ago where it would be safe to go and build a farm and prepare for those bad times coming and he gave me a list. I picked Maine from his list after meditating that it would be good and moved here in 1975. I prepared my farm to be independent from electricity. We use no oil or gas except for the trucks and tractors. An underground solar house and other underground buildings were built. They are warm in the winter and cool in the summer.

I remember Sun Bear very well, He was very interested in my vision of the future back then, -he was a nice, wise person. I was sad when I heard he died several years ago.

I have gathered many (30-40?) sleeping bags and matresses, warm clothing, dishes and camping gear and food and children's toys and gardening tools for my families who will leave their broken cities and come to the land to escape the horrors. I must teach them how to survive on the land, I have learned by experience for 30 years now. I have dug many water ponds last autumn to use for the gardens when the heat and drought start to come next summer. Many harvests will fail according to a vision I had last summer when I warned my Amish farmer friends.

How will we survive? - With love and cooperation... there won't be anymore "competition" thinking when the great change comes... people will have enough of the greed and hatred that competition brought about.

It will be difficult to survive in the winter here too, but I can teach them how to build warm shelters like the Vikings did when they came to this cold land 1000 years ago. I have lots of firewood ready too... - my "root cellar / summer kitchen" looks a lot like the grass-covered Viking longhouses shown in the panorama : http://www.virtual-tours-newfoundland.ca/LanseauxMeadows/Meadows.html...and I am building some small underground sheds for the animals too.

-these Viking dwellings are similar also to the Mandan indian earth-lodges...

...for those who do not know me, I taught wilderness survival and mountain rescue for many years in western America. I am often plagued with visions that later come true, but do not consider myself to be a "seer". I grew up between cattle ranches and indian reservations in Colorado and Arizona, and I have many indian friends that have taught me to survive on the land.

I would tell you to prepare yourselves physically, mentally and spiritually for some VERY difficult times that are now rapidly coming upon us. Do not make foolish decisions, think everything through carefully. You must store some provisions and supplies for emergencies that will come. At least 3 months worth.
