When our order was placed months ago, we anticipated enough vaccine to fulfill all immunization requests. Unfortunately, due to reduced production of FLUVIRIN® by the manufacturer, the supplier was able to distribute approximately 30% of our original order.
Despite repeated attempts to pursue other suppliers, we have now exhausted all possible avenues.
I apologize to each of you who planned on getting a flu shot through Occupational Health. The one piece of good news is that the influenza disease season doesn't peak in the United States until January or later. This announcement will hopefully give staff enough time to research other options. As a reminder to those covered by the [Hospital Name] health plan, immunizations are covered at 100% if they are given in the office of an Arizona Foundation physician; or will be reimbursed at 100% with a receipt for service submitted to Professional Benefit Services.

What this means is that the very people who would provide HEALTH CARE in the event of a pandemic are being denied vaccination. Put another way, it is every man for himself. But do not fear. The US military will be fully vaccinated and prepared to step in and take over hospitals and pharmacies nationwide, quarantine infected citizens, force vaccinations on all, and kill anyone who dares not comply. It's called martial law, folks, and it is coming soon to a neighborhood near you.
