Saddam Hussein address call to Brother Arabs: regimes, governments and people

Ja, da wird wohl demnächst noch etwas Größeres auf uns zukommen. Während
Amerika noch in Tora Bora rumheißelt weil sie selbst noch nicht
genau wissen ob sie sich nun trauen dürfen den Irak anzugreifen oder
nicht fängt Saddam Hussein bereits damit an die arabischen Massen
auf sich einzuschwören. Weiterhin fordert er zu einem sofortigen
Notfall-Treffen der arabischen Nationen zwecks Palästinenserkonflikt auf.

Interessant dürfte auch die Entwicklung der bilateralen Verhältnisse
zwischwen US und Israel werden. Erst wurde bekannt das Israel
1967 ein amerikansichen Kriegschiff absichtlich versenkt hat,
was US-Patrioten verständlicherweise besonders begeistert hat.
Dann wurde geheime amerikanische Raketentechnologie, die nur für
Israel bestimmt war, an China verkauft. Und jetzt kommt auch noch
einer der größten Spionageskandale seit Jahren ans Licht, der Mossad
hat doch tatsächlich 4 Telefonleitungen des Weissen Hauses abgehört
und es ist gar noch nicht abzusehen was noch alles ausspioniert wurde.


Hier ein paar Auszüge aus der am 15.12. von Hussein gehaltenen Rede,
den ganzen Text findet ihr hier.

"Therefore, brothers, I address this message to you as a specific call for the
sake of Palestine and, through Palestine and its Holy Quds, for the sake of us
all and, through our nation, for the sake of all humanity, which is afflicted
with the tyranny of the evil American-Zionist alliance.....

We have to postpone all our differences and concentrate on taking an honourable
stand before Allah, history and the people, testifying that we, governments and
people, have taken that stand jointly and with full solidarity.....

Brother Arabs,

We should only remember the causes and reasons for our unity in this difficult
crisis. We should try to forget or postpone all that may lead to our division,
which is desired by our enemy under all titles and names.....

He who is not urged by the fervour of the blood ties and principles should be
urged by the imminent danger in order to take part in the joint action. .....

Iraq is ready, people, regime and leadership, to shoulder its responsibility
so that we may reach a stand which will please Allah and our nation so that
history may record later on all that give glory to our grandchildren, ....

Calling our brothers to this meeting does not cancel the next meeting. It is
not a substitute for it either. It is a call for an emergency meeting in a
circumstance of real emergency in all standards and considerations...."
