I'm sorry, but I've been gone from here so long I forgot how to speak German ;-)

1 to 10 should theoretically work, providing all materials are proportionately sized and of the same material. Unfortunately this is not always possible, as certain components used in construction cannot be obtained in an exactly proportionate dimension.

Of course, if you are speaking of displacement, then the weight would be directly proportional to the reduced size, weather 1:10, 1:100 etc.

So, if you were to build a submarine that is exactly proportionately 1/10th of the size of the original, it would also displace 1/10th of the proportionate volume, bouyancy etc.

You must also take in consideration gross vs. net displacement (brutto vs. netto).
